Beginning Monday, October 5th, the library will be CLOSED moving back to our renovated and expanded library at 404 E. Walworth Ave., Delavan, WI.  Due to moving materials, installing furniture and equipment, dates may change.

Q&A

Materials - Important Dates

During our move, materials can be requested through the county SHARE catalog. To access items, search for an item, enter your library card and PIN number, and place a hold. Need a library card?  Locate your PIN number.  Uncertain how to place a hold?  Watch a video.

Important Dates:

Monday, September 21st

  • Help us MOVE our materials by checking out as many as you can and keeping them thru November 15th when the library returns to regular operating hours.
  • DPL catalog items will go into “storage” but holds and pickups can still take place through our sister libraries.

Saturday, October 3rd

  • Last day to pick up remaining holds at the Temporary library location – 830 E. Geneva Street, Delavan, WI
  • And, the last day the library is open at our temporary location.

Returning Materials

Materials may be returned at our temporary location thru Wednesday, October 30th in the BOOK drop.  Items may be returned to any Walworth County library too.

Programming

Once we are up and running in the new library, we will continue our programming for all ages. Future program details can be found on our EVENTS page, flyers at the library or via our newsletter and social media channels.  Please note WHERE the programs are located.

Storytime

Monday storytimes will take place at the City of Delavan, Council Chambers beginning Monday, October 5th thru Monday, November 9th.

Interlibrary Loan

Library cardholders have the ability to request materials throughout Wisconsin using the Wiscat service through our SHARE system.  Interlibrary loan will cease on Monday, September 21st and re-instate on Monday, November 15th.

Where is the art collection?

For the safety of the collection during packing, moving and ultimately building, the paintings have been moved to storage at the City of Delavan.  Hanging in various employee spaces, the artwork will be safe until re-installed.

Material Donations

The last day for material donations (books, DVDs, etc.) will be Saturday, September 26th.

Our Friends group is prepared and has secured offsite storage to receive and process donations while our expansion is in process.If you have donations to share with the Friends after September 26th, please contact by email: friends@aramlibrary.org to arrange a delivery meeting location.

Please stay tuned for a date when donations will return in early 2027.
