Aram Public Library (APL) materials are fine free for all APL cardholders beginning June 1, 2022. (Hotspots and Chromebooks remain the only items with fines.) Fines are forgiven on the day items are returned or renewed. If your overdue charge reaches $10, your library services will be suspended until you reduce your balance. Materials from other SHARE libraries may have different loan periods or late charges.

How can I pay my fines?

Fines or bills may be paid in cash or by check at the Aram Public Library adult service desk. Debit or credit cards may be used if the total is over $5.00. Patrons may also use debit or credit cards through the online SHARE catalog. Patrons will need their library card number and their PIN number in order to use this method. Also, patrons choosing this method must pay the entire fine.

Can I get a book or movie that isn't in our system?

If a patron wants materials that are not available through the Lakeshores SHARE catalog, a library assistant will fill out the paperwork necessary to order that book for you. If you are calling in with that request, please have the title, author, and publication information ready to tell us over the phone, as well as your library card number. The number of items may be restricted to 5. These are referred to as ILL materials.

Can I renew ILL materials?

ILL materials are from outside our system. Please call us one week in advance, so that we can contact the lending library to see if a renewal is possible.

What is the fee for a library card?

Library cards are free to all Wisconsin residents and to those who own property in the state of Wisconsin, except for those who live in Milwaukee County. For non-residents and those who do not have property in Wisconsin or for those who reside in Milwaukee County, the cost for a card is $50.00; these special cards expire one year from the date of purchase. (Regular cards expire every 2 years and can renewed at the adult services desk.)
