The new library will have an assortment of fun and interesting lighting selections. Most of the lighting in the collection (book) areas is a linear type of fixture like the one pictured on the left. In the youth area, pendant lights will hang. And, in the clerestory or main hallway, we’ll have lighting as pictured in the third image in differrent design configurations.
Partnering with Alliant Energy, WeEnergies, and Focus on Energy, the project underwent a clear methodology of information gathering, collaboration, and analysis in an integrated setting of formal meetings. The project team and Focus on Energy work together to understand how the building will use energy and where cost-effective savings can be realized through design.
