ACT or Acoustical Ceiling Tile framing is being put in place. In this photo, you can see the framing for the ceiling tiles are installed in part of the youth shelving area. ACT tiles are “dropped” or suspended from the ceiling. This type of system is often used in schools, offices, etc. to reduce noise, control echo and hide the wiring or ductwork.
