The City of Delavan is pleased to announce that it has been awarded $800,000 through Governor Tony Evers’ Non-State Grant Program for the “Rooted in Our Community, Growing for the Future: Aram Public Library Expansion & Renovation” project. The award was included in the governor’s May 13, 2026 announcement of grants for community development projects across Wisconsin.
This award represents a major investment in the future of the Aram Public Library and the Delavan community. The expansion and renovation project will help strengthen library services, improve community space, and support the library’s long-term role as a center for literacy, learning, and connection. This award will help reduce the local financial impact of the project and supports the City’s ongoing efforts to responsibly advance the library expansion and renovation.
This achievement was made possible through the strong collaboration of the Delavan Aram Public Library Foundation, Aram Public Library, and the City of Delavan. Special recognition is extended to Michelle Carter, Library Director; Wayne Osborn, President of the Delavan Aram Public Library Foundation; and Jori Hume, Delavan Aram Public Library Foundation Member, whose time, effort, and leadership were instrumental in writing and assembling the grant application.
The City of Delavan is grateful for the partnership and dedication of everyone involved in advancing this important project. This grant award is a meaningful step forward and reflects the strength of local collaboration in support of a project that will serve Delavan for generations to come.
